I think I'm pretty pleased with the Banks selection. I know nothing about
him other than what I've been reading the last few weeks; and the little clip
they showed after his selection. Seems like a tough kid, with the moxie to take
charge from the beginning.

I'm equally pleased with everything I hear from Danny. It's clear who's in
charge, and if Obies not on board with implementing a running game, and parking
Antoines ass down on the low block, then I don't think he survives more than
one more season.

As to Antoine, I think Danny HATES his game. I really don't think at this
stage of his career, he's gonna have an epiphany. What you see is what you get.
I hate his game, in spite of the occasional tease. It's probably smart to
hang on to him for one more year, because his value probably goes up
exponentially owing to his expiring contract.

And Perkins? I know practically nothing about him. I put no stock in the
Papile hyperbole. The fact that he and Wallace still feel that Kedrick is a
bright point on their resume ought to tell you all you need to know about their
credibility. Still, it was a worthwhile risk at the tail end of the first
round. All in all, a ballsy start to the Ainge era. I'm heartened.

This was Ainge's draft... not Wallace's. And for now, I have faith in Danny
unless he proves otherwise.

I think it's gonna be a fun season. It'll be interesting seeing how the Obie
- Ainge thing plays out.

I have this sneaking suspicion that this time next year, Carlisle will be our
coach, and Antoine will have been moved.
