Candid Ainge Blasts Pierce and Walker

Ainge on Kansas City radio station 810 - WHB (you'd never
say anything bad about Boston Sports Radio, if you heard these yahoos,
then it's Kansas, so what do you expect) says:

- Mentions using free agency to get a guard - seems to 
indicate a point guard.

- Celtics have to get more athletic.

- Celtics did not have a PG last season.

- Draft Options Open: Take two picks at 16 and 20 or trade up.

- Mentions taking/looking at a Euro Small Forward (Hello
Pavlovic, Kryapa, better not be Diaw).

- Draft picks raw - last year's draft didn't bear much fruit;
picks are getting younger; Says Bremer was one of top ten rookies. 

- Celtics have to get more athletic.

- Walker and Pierce have to get in much better shape,
stop going through the motions on defense, or team has 
to get more depth and play them less.

- Celtics as a team need to get in much better shape.

- Big possiblity Dallas gets Malone - says Malone would look good
in green.

- Living fulltime Bostonian by September.

- Ainge says he's thrilled to have O'Brien back.
Would be one of the top coaches on the market;
man of integrity. 

- Ainge says he'd love to have Larry Bird back, but Bird wants
to run his own team.


So a good candid, why doesn't he say these things in Boston interview by
Ainge. Maybe those Anderson to Celtics rumors are true, or maybe a sign
and
trade for a PG isn in the offing. But he did mention free agencyt and
getting a
guard. Imagine if they got Payton.
