Here's What We Know - 7/10

- When will we the learn the identity of free agents the Celtics are
interested
in? So far, the rumors are Barry and Daniels.

- And no offense to Walter, but there's a whole lot of better players,
who
are in the same situation as him.

- When's the next Walker trade rumor happening (and I'm excluding the
Van Horn stuff.)?

- If the Celtics had drafted Lampe, there would be no need to bring back
a PF
in any Walker trade. Lampe could play the position until he's matured up
to
the center spot.

- The Kidd stuff is suppose to break tomorrow.
The interesting thing is if they do a sign and trade,
so NJ gets something in return: Parker and the Spurs keep cap
space intact to sign a center: Olowokandi or Mourning.

- And even if Kidd should depart, I wouldn't 100 percent
write off Jersey. They could do a sign and trade for Parker; draftee
Planinic
is like the middle class Euro Kidd, and they may bring in a younger
Divac in
last year's draft pick Nenad Krystic.

- In one of the San Antonio zines, they had a big article on Kidd
referring
to San Antone as a "hole", as he got on the plane and left for NJ.

- While you shouldn't automatically annoint the
Pistons as the next EC champions,
Larry Brown is coaching genius, as I frequently say,
and Milicic will contribute this season. They also are likely
to sign a free agent.

The Hawks, now there's a team crying out for a Walker - Shareef trade.
New owner David David David, you want Toine!

- Lebron needs to shed a few pounds, if he expects to play PG.

- The Lakers free agent moves are disheartening. Ainge has to run off to
Utah and beg for
Malone to sign the Celtics exemption, meanwhile, Karl's more than happy
to take the
minimum from LA. But that's the nature of being a championship
contender.
If, and I say if, Ainge elevates the Celtics to that level, he will be
able to cull the Free Agent
much like the Lakers have.
