Stay patient with Kedrick

Good talent evaluators like the Nelsons and Portland's scouts are
impressed by Brown's flashes. He'll come through for the C's.

During the Dallas blowout, Kedrick had a series where he made some stops
against Van Excel, showed his hops on rebounds, then came off a screen
to swish a catch and shoot 3 pointer from the baseline. The camera
panned to Don Nelson who was looking bored, and turned to his son saying
"The boy can play". Donny nodded back and said "Yeah, he can play".

It's just a matter of time and getting comfortable making offensive
plays for Kedrick. We all expected the 4 year college guys
(Tinsley,Murphy, even Bremer) to be more polished than him at the start.
But sticking with the super athlete almost always pays off in this
league (See Washingtons mistake of Howard versus Webber, Trajan Langdon
versus any shooting guard, Forte versus Desmond Mason).

I hate to keep using Gerald Wallace
as an example, but there's a guy who was considered by many experts to
be
the best player in his high school class. He absolutely dominated. He
went
to Alabama and struggled throughout his freshman season before turning
pro
and being a late first-round pick. Athletic ability will carry you to
big
numbers against lesser competition, and Kedrick, I'm betting, was facing
far
inferior competition at Okaloosa-Walton CC.
