Cavs waive Ty Hill

This is mostly just chatter, though it sure would be
nice to see Hill in a Celtics uni. Maybe less need now
than a few weeks ago, with Blount, Long and even
Bryant aboard. But I tell you, somebody - Lakers?
Sixers? Nets? Pistons? - will add this guy, and we'll
all be sorry they did come playoff time.

Celts can't afford it anyway, thanks to the Baker
mess. Even though he's not receiving his salary during
suspension, I don't think that clears any salary cap
space unless he were to actually go through with a
medical retirement. 

Speaking of bad GM work, imagine the Cavs fans: rather
than getting something, anything, for Hill last week,
the teams lets him walk for nothing.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to waive veteran
forward Tyrone Hill and point guard Bimbo Coles,
ESPN.com learned Wednesday.

Hill's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed that the two
sides had reached an agreement.

Bartelstein said that teams were already lining up for
Hill's services.

"We haven't made a decision where Tyrone is going just
yet," Bartelstein told ESPN.com. "He's looking to join
a championship contender. Tyrone really wants a ring.
There are several teams out there who think he could
really help them."
