Orlando sends Mike Miller, Ryan Humphrey to the Grizzlies
Magic Acquire Gooden and Giricek from Memphis

Orlando, FL b The Orlando Magic have acquired forward Drew Gooden, guard
Gordan Giricek and cash considerations from the Memphis Grizzlies, in
exchange for forward-guard Mike Miller, forward Ryan Humphrey, a first-round
draft pick (the pick owed to Orlando by Sacramento) and a future second-round
draft pick (2004), General Manager John Gabriel announced tonight.

bWhile we are certainly sorry to see Mike move on, we have addressed our
needs with the additions of Drew and Gordan,b said Gabriel. bDrew brings
size and athleticism to our frontline, while Gordan is an excellent perimeter
shooter.b

Added head coach Doc Rivers, bThis is a tough business and Mike was one of
my
favorites. He, however, was the only way we could improve our basketball

forward to coaching Drew and Gordan.b
