Just to go on record:  the posturing over whether Michael will start or not is the stupidest thing I've ever seen or heard.  Bill Walton is the worst!  It's as if Western Civilization will crumble is someone doesn't "do the right thing" and step aside for his airness.  What utter hooey!.  The case can be made that Michael didn't even belong on the team.  His season is not up to Karl Malone's, for instance.  But the coaches didn't want to snub him--as the fans had.  What insipid hype.  I watched some of the rook game and caught Walker's embarrassment, but I won't watch the final coronation.  Michael's one of the greatest, no doubt, but the game is more important.

I remember once, when someone had set a stolen base mark, that manager Alvin Dark wouldn't let them call time out to commemorate the occasion; it's a game, not a resume of records.  Aha.  I'm done now.  Cheers.  Gene
