I Believe Ainge Will Put Together An Offer For Kidd
If New Jersey does trade Jason Kidd in the off-season (a far more likely
occurrence than a deal this season, since Kidd is a base year compensation
player), I believe Danny Ainge will make a pretty good offer to the Nets
for him, notwithstanding Kidd's inability to get along with any coach that's
coached him.
And what type of package deal could you see Ainge whip up for him?
Obviously Banks would have to be part of it, then they'd want a Center/PF
type, either Mihm, Perkins, or LaFretz, and you'd have to give up
Davis too, not that it's a given that New Jersey would keep him.
But it would be well worth it, despite Kidd's various peccadillos, because he is
precisely one of those impact players, that Ainge wants to add to the team.
Kidd - Pierce - Jiri looks very good indeed, though it's difficult to see New
Jersey trading Kidd within the division, but hey, if the Celtics offer is
better than the other NBA clubs, it can happen, and thanks to Ainge's
stockpiling of Big Men and draft choices, the Celtics have the ability
to replace those they would lose in the trade.
