Re: bounce derby

I'll bite. The Jazz are a well coached team, we definitely are not. The Jazz
are a patient team using much of the clock each possession, we are not
either one. The Jazz are a very good passing team, we are not. They make the
basic swing passes and work it in and out. The Jazz big men made our boys
looks bad except for some good play from Mihm. He will have to start with
Baker or Blount eventually. Baker is drifting out too far, jump shooting.
Signs of laziness. Pierce continues to botch things up in crunch time with
ball handling too far out, which he should not be doing. I don't see enough
development in McCarty playing big minutes because he'll hurt us as much as
help.

With that said, the defense lost the game for us. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters
were embarrassing with the Jazz shooting astronomical figures. This pattern
was set long before the subs started coming in. We now have a team with
talent and depth. If we have to wait for OB to grow with the team it will be
painfully slow. The team has many more plusses than minuses. If Welsch's
hand doesn't hold up so goes the team. Banks is our only bonifide point
guard but I don't know if throwing him into the fire will be a positive. We
are now a far better team than what showed up for the Jazz. We will have to
be superior to survive OB.
