Celts save $50,000; Best signs for vet. minimum

We could see this one coming.  Travis Best has signed a one-year 
vet. min. contract with Dallas for $938,679.  Only $688,679 of 
that counts against the cap.

We signed James for $638,679.  

The sad thing about this is that Best (from Springfield, Mass. )
really wanted to play for the Celts.

Shame on the impetuous and proud Danny for rushing into the James 
signing after failing to sign Daniels and E. Strickland, and then
burning his bridges with Best and Anderson.  

Best isn't exactly John Stockton, but James is no PG, and a poor 
shooter to boot.
