the best we can hope

I am a pessimist when it comes to expecting changes in the BDT.  The best we can hope for is two decent draft choices, some reason in the dollars paid to Eric Williams and the extension of Antoine, and a slight veer to the middle on O'Brien's offensive philosophy.

Really, do we expect bold moves?  Not me, but I do expect at least one rookie who can help us.  Wallace's problem is not so much talent evaluation than it is a tendency to go for the home run.  Kedrick was a swing for the fences, as was the Baker deal.  Given a normal draft situation, I think he will do ok, especially since he's under the gun.  From there we can hope that new talent, perhaps a return of a solid Songaila from Europe, and some development from Kedrick and we'll have less of a two man team.  Man, am I dreaming!
