4-18 NBA Draft Rumors, Blake, Euros, Trades, Kedrick

Gathered throughout the electromagnetic spectrum............

- Sad draft news, both Kosta Perovic and Tiago Splitter are sitting this
one out.
Too bad, as both would have made fine C's picks, even if they required a
trade up.

-It looks like Croatian center Kresimir Loncar is in. Very good
offensive player,
as is Blagota Sekulic, whio I think is a Euro sleeper.

- Carlos Delfino is out injured, so he's also a draft no show.

- In the good news department, Chad Ford tells us:

Two intriguing names to keep an eye on. Paccelis Morlende, an athletic
21-year-old French point guard playing in Dijon France, is drawing
comparisons to Tony Parker. And Xue Yuyang, a 7-foot-1, 21-year-old
center from China, is trying to ride Yao Ming's coat tails into the NBA.
Both players will put their names in the draft, but will likely pull out
if they don't believe they'll be first-round picks. (Ray: I was aware
of Xue, not as familiar with the French PG. There's also another Chinese
PF draft possibility by the name of: Mo Ke.)

- Baby Shaq's stock is on the rise with word that he's 6-10 in sneakers,
287
in weight and has a 7-foot wingspan.

- Maciej Lampe, the great Polish PF prospect, weill enter the draft,
if he's projected to be a lottery pick. He's damn good, so that's
a possibility.

- Knicks may trade off their lottery pick for a veteran.
Hmmm, Sprewell, Thomas, and the pick for Walker
and Brown, etc. Then the Celtics draft Ridnour or Lampe
or Varejao. Fine by me.

- Jerry West wants a Big Guy and is thinking of packaging
13 and 27 to move up in the draft. Can the
the Celtics undercut West by dealing 16, 20, and Kedrick Brown?

- Former Celtics draftee Kedrick Brown has been labeled a dissapointment

by the Lama, Michael Holley. All he can do is jump, Holley is alleged to
have
said..

- Ridnour vs. Ford: Either one would make for a great draft by the
Celtics.
Ford is like a shorter, Iverson type with better PG skills. Basically a
one
man fast break, who will easily be able to get to the hoop. Ridnour's
not the penetrator that Ford is, but he's bigger, a much better shooter
and scorer, and possesses similar passing skills and knowledge
of the game.

- More and more it looks like Steve Blake of Maryland will be
available as an undrafted free agent. The knocks against Blake are
his body type won't be as effective in NBA defenses, he's not a great
shooter,
and has always been surrounded by terrific talent.
