Both these guys seem young...got out of B-school just a 
decade or so ago. Interestingly, Grousbeck can teach some 
of our court-vision challenged pointguards to read 
braille: one of his listed charities.

I don't think either of these guys are billionaires on 
the scale of Paul Allen or some of the 
conglomerate/owners. But as long as they are basketball 
and Celtics fans, I'm happy.


Stephen Pagliuca
Mr. Pagliuca joined Bain Capital in 1989 as a Managing 
Director. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Pagliuca was 
a Vice President at Bain & Company where he managed 
client relationships in the information services and 
healthcare industries. Mr. Pagliuca was also involved in 
developing Bain & Company's turnaround practice. 
Previously, Mr. Pagliuca worked as a senior accountant 
and international tax specialist at Peat Marwick Mitchell 
& Company in the Netherlands. Mr. Pagliuca received an 
M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and is a Certified 
Public Accountant. He received a B.A. from Duke 
University.


Wyc Grousbeck

Highland has funded over 100 growth companies in the 
communications, internet, software and medical markets. 
We currently manage over $1.8 billion and have one of the 
best records of success in the industry. As an investor 
at Highland, Wyc has had a particular interest in start-
up and early-stage medical technology and services 
companies. Wyc is currently on a leave of absence. 

Background
Prior to joining Highland in 1995, Wyc was the Founder 
and President of MedWise, a start-up consumer medical 
information and research company. He was also Director of 
Planning and Development at Glycomed, a biotechnology 
company in California. From 1986 to 1990, Wyc practiced 
venture capital and start-up company law with Brobeck, 
Phleger & Harrison in Silicon Valley. He is a former 
national champion oarsman.
