Another Gaston Screw Job

Paul Gaston, a hybrid of Bill Clinton and Vince McMahon,
pulled another fast one according to Will McDonough in today's
Boston Globe. It seems former owner (after Dec. 1st) Paul got a
$30 million bonus all for himself by locking the Celtics into a 15 year
contract with FSNE. Considering the rate at which local rights fees
have zoomed up in recent years, to commit any team to a 15-year deal
is insane from a business perspective, unless of course, they're paying
you off  with $30 million and you're exiting stage left....
