Re: A passing fancy

< *Shrug* I didn't say her entire summary was patronizing and would
have thought that was pretty clear in context. I intentionally put the
comment right after the patronizing text, which was at the beginning
of her post. > - Kim

Nor did I and so did I - but who the hey cares to follow this entire
thread?

< 'Just get over it' is an emotionally charged phrase... > -Kim

As in 'Stand still while I aim my made-in-Maine rifle at you?'
And here I thought the finest spuds known to man - the soft,
brown-eyed, spleened, nosed, wannabe Idaho potatoes, were my
great State of Maine's major export.

<... used to indicate that you think someone is acting immature and
needs to stop fussing (just) and grow up enough to cope (get over it).
It is given as an order, i.e. from a perceived superior position with
a right (moral or otherwise) to do so, which is intended to emphasize
the speaker's superior/more mature status. > - Kim

JB, I pray you are experiencing the due shame associated with being
dissed by a superior positioned, more mature poster.

< Maybe it would help if you didn't assume people are talking from a
warped, inherently one vs. the other perspective. > - Kim

Aside from Lance, I honestly cannot think of anyone on this board
who is bent on such an idol and unproductive vendetta.

< And he's (Walker) hardly the first forward -here or elsewhere- to
help as playmaker. Which IMO he is quite capable of. >

Walker is a very talented passer. My point (if I can remember it)
was/is that if he serves as our quintessential PG and 3-point
shooter extraordinaire, who is left to rebound and defend the
opposing power forwards... defensive specialist Eric Williams?

< Tammo used a phrase that is never really used with anything but
patronizing intent > - Kim

I certainly will pay more attention to her future posts. I suspect
from your comments that she is a very dangerous person who just
happens to know a hell of a lot about bball. As I am a relative novice
to this board, I had not realized just how very radical her logical
thoughts are. Thank you, Kim, for setting me straight.

< There are other, much less charged ways to just say that you think
someone is wrong. >

Oui, Madame/Mademoiselle... like perhaps 'omelet or underhand toss' ?

GO PATRIOTS... or am one year too late?
