I don't want to be the guy that disagrees with Dan all of the time,
because I've posted much of what he has, during different periods of my
frustration with the management and coaching. In other words, he could
be right on, but in the spirit of good schizo journalism, I'm prompted
to be the devil's advocate and grant a rational, to those who might not
have one, meaning in this case, Jimmy O'Brien, who already said, in
yesterday's paper that he wouldn't continue to play Walker and Pierce
40 minutes a game and then went right ahead and did it anyway, against
the Wizards.
Oh yes, the rationale! Could it be possible that, since the offense
goes through Walker and Pierce, that unless they are on the court, full
time, or close to it, the degeneration is so extreme, that the new
players will have no clue as to what to do when the season starts? The
preseason is for instilling plays, running the troops in conditioning
drills and specifically, for the C's, breaking in the new guys. We even
saw a few drops, into Baker, in the post.
