Re: Misc.

Dan, I'm not even an optimist. I think Chris Wallace is the worst GM in the
league, and that Obie's style of hoop is boring and dangerous. We don't
have one guy on this team who's focused on rebounding, and that's a mistake,
especially since we lack size (muscle) at every postion except ballboy.

Obie's idea of non-contact basketball can only go so far. It manages to
protect his players from certain types of injuries, but eliminates the team
from games where the opposition plays physical ball, either with brute force
or by moving their players. The Celtics stop moving when they reach the 3pt
arc. It's tiring to watch the quick and easy baskets that the opponents
get, vs. our quick and lazy 3pt attempts.

If Walker decides to work down low, and he's quick about it, he'll score.
Baker's nowhere near where he'll be in a few months, although he still won't
be jumping or rebounding on the defensive boards. Pierce will get his
points at the expense of the flow of the team, but folks seem to accept
that.

Do you honestly think Gaston will allow the BT to sign anybody else,
especially after the summer fiasco and the sale of the team? Can't see him
having a single reason to do it, Dan. Maybe you do. Our guys will get
better, though.
