RE: It Can't Be True

Dan,

Very few on this list ever said Rogers and Delk couldn't play, it was
O'Brien's mismanagement of the roster that was the problem. O'Brien
made a the correct decision to put Strickland and Williams on the bench
where they belong and that was the difference in the game. McCarty is a
much better defensive player than Williams and at this point gives the
Celtics just as much offense and kudos to Delk for shrugging off Pierce
and Walker, who were forcing shots, instead finding McCarty inside in
the obvious mismatch with Iverson. If Delk can play intelligently like
he did tonight and make the correct decisions despite Pierce and
Walker's desire to dominate the game at crunch time, things will be OK.
Of course, there is still the matter of O'Brien figuring out how to
defend a big guard? Will he go back to Williams or will he consider
McCarty or Brown? If he considers the former, he will have learned
nothing from this game.

Delk and Rogers in it to the end, this can't happen, they can't play, OB
can't manage. This game has been played under protest.
