Due to the Phoenix trade for Delk and Rogers that give a undersized 2 guard
and a 3 1/2 tweaner who might not return, we lost out on a chance at:

Lonny Baxter
Sam Clancy
Vincent Yarborough
Juan Carlos Navarro


As far as Songalia, I don't think he will even make the team. Why not take a
shot at Kammerichs or Corsley Edwards at 275.  They should have moved up and
took Boozer a tough nosed kid out of a top program.


Some perplexing trades

Does anyone understand the Knick trade? Is something still in the works
moving Sprewell or Houston? If not, I don't see Mcdyess as major upgrade.


We set pat and the Lakers make moves to strengthen themselves.


The Raptors had needs heading into the NBA draft and they addressed them all
in one fell swoop by acquiring Lindsey Hunter and the draft rights to Chris
Jeffries from the Lakers for Tracy Murray and the draft rights to Kareem
Rush. The teams also agreed to exchange second-round picks in a future
draft.



Kareem Rush and Murray for a brick tosser like Lindsay Hunter and Jeffries?
Did the Raptors not see Hunter play this year?


Philly taking Welsch then trading him? This smells like the Coleman for
Hughes & Fortson might be going down. Hughes and Fortson for Derrick
Colemen?  And we laugh at some of the trades proposed on the list!



I think the Clippers are going to move Wilcox in a package for Baron Davis
or Andre Miller. If they get either should we go after Marko Jaric?


We need to move Battie and Anderson. Kenny's stock is as high as it ever
will be, and Battie just plain can't bring it nightly. As Charles Barkley
called a Monday-Wednesday-Friday player.

In picking Songaila they did bypass Mladen Sekularac who really
drifted. Wonder why, as he was projected to go in the first round?

I give the Celtics a B for the draft. Lots of talent available
in this year's second round, so not surprising they could come with a
player.
