Counterstrike: Counteracting The Weird NJ Menance

All seems lost at the moment. Weird NJ (home of Lucy the 90 ton
elephant)
has picked up one of the premiere defensive centers in the NBA, and is
signing Rodney Rogers, adding more scoring and versatility
to their Weird NJ (Manunka Chunk Tunnels) frontcourt, furthering
their superiority over our Boston Celtics, a team they easily defeated
during last year's playoffs.

But all is not lost, if men of bold heart and clear thinking, are
present to
take action against these Weird NJ (Midgetville) usurpers.
Unfortunately,
the above qualities do not apply to anyone in Celtics management at
the present time, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day, so
there's hope that someone in the front office will grasp the
fact, that in order to overtake the moves that Weird NJ (The Jackson
Whites) has made, the C's need to go out and get a top flight point
guard.

I may be a contrarian and a critic, but even I think, that at least for
Year I
of his Celtics stay, Vin Baker will get it, and have an impact. Still, a

rejuvenated Vinnie is not enough. The team must get a BTPG before
the expiration of the trading deadline.

Sure for the present, and the regular season, they can probably get by
with
Erick Strickland and the rest of the Not Ready For Prime Time PGers,
but in the playoffs against the power house teams of the rejuvenated
Eastern
Conference and the Weird NJ (Clinch Road) opposition , the C's point
guard
situation is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Future Is Now, and the Kedrick Jordans, Eric Williams, Tony Batties,

draft picks, and multitudes of combo guards are the sacrificial lambs
that must be slaughtered to counteract this latest menance.
