Boston: The C's reached a contract agreement with Walter McCarty, and this
likely rounds out their key free agent moves. There has been talk of adding a
Veteran point guard, a surprising name surfaced in talks with Celtics source,
and that would be Tim Hardaway. Timmy is an unrestricted free agent and is
looking for a playoff team. Rumor has it he may have expressed some interest
to the Celtics and may be willing to come to Beantown for the veterans
minimum. Tim has other options, but consider Boston needs a point guard-badly,
this isn't a shocking rumor, but an interesting one.


This indeed is an interesting rumor. Certainly not a guy who can give us over
30 mins a game if that much but he can come in and play effectively for stints
at a time. He's not afraid to take big shots. Added bonus he can make most of
them. He has a history with Antoine as both are from Chicago. And he's coming
at the right price which give him an advantage over Best and McIniss.
