- Besides the Celtics, there are actually two other clubs interested
in Walter McCarty. Names can't be revealed to protect the two
obvious insane GMs.

- Utah has interest in ex-Celtics PGs Strickland and Jones.

- Since Portland appears ready to sign Jeff Mcinnis, both Damon
Stoudamire
and Buckeroo Bonzi Wells are available for a trade. So, what could the
Celtics
whip up in terms of personnel that would interest Portland, and give the
C's
a decent starting backcourt and a damn good starting unit of Stoudamire,
Wells,
Pierce, Walker, and Baker? Well, except for Walker that is, and Baker
should be
the PF.

- With all the talk about Chick Hearn, let us not forget Johnny Most.
Johnny, who
was so stone deaf, that he would have the volume of the porno movies he
watched
in the hotels on the road, turned up to full volume, so that the heavy
breathing and
moans could be heard throughout entire hotel floors.

- Don't rule out Larry Legend abandoning the Charlotte gig for stock
options and
being named head of Celtics basketball operations. It would depend on
how
soon the Celtics were put up for sale. And while Gaston wouldn't sell to
a
Bird led group, whatever new owner purchased the Celtics; having that
new
owner convince Bird to run the franchise, would be a top priority. Think
of the
public relations coup.
