"MEET THE CELTICS"

FREE OPEN PRACTICE COMES TO LOWELL

Tickets Available Starting Friday, September 28th!

BOSTON (September 26, 2001) - The Boston Celtics announced today that as part of their year-round community outreach, they will welcome area fans to the 2001-02 NBA Season at a free "Meet the Celtics" open practice at Tsongas Arena in Lowell on Sunday, October 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  

Celtics Head Coach Jim O'Brien and his staff will host a team practice session and scrimmage where fans will get their first look at the 2001-2002 squad. Each fan will receive a complimentary Celtics 2001-2002 schedule poster.

Tickets will be distributed at the Tsongas Arena Box Office, as well as select Lowell area Citizens Bank locations and in the The Sports Authority stores (list below) beginning at 10:00 am Friday, September 28th.  There is a four-ticket limit per person, which are available only in person and on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Admission is free but fans must have a
ticket to enter the practice.

Tickets for the event, sponsored by Citizens Bank, AT&T Broadband and The Sports Authority, will be available at the following locations:
