just when i wanted to praise Denver for the Scott Williams + no.1 pick
trade, they do this!!!!!

I remember Cook costs them a conditional no.1 pick Magic owed them.
This must be Issel's handiwork.

Nuggets waive Ceballos, Cook, Menk

DENVER (AP) The Denver Nuggets waived 11-year veteran Cedric Ceballos,
rookie Omar Cook and Chinese free-agent Menk Batere on Thursday. 

Ceballos, a forward with a career average of 14.3 points, signed with
the Nuggets on Sept. 29 after stints with Phoenix, the Los Angeles
Lakers, Dallas, Detroit and Miami. 

He appeared in three preseason games with the Nuggets, averaging 8.3
points and five rebounds. 

Cook, a point guard drafted in the second round, played in three
preseason games, averaging three points and two assists. He entered
the draft after his freshman season at St. John's, where he averaged
15.3 points and 8.7 assists. 

Menk, a center, was a member of China's ''Walking Great Wall'' during
the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He appeared in two preseason games
for the Nuggets, averaging two points and one rebound. 

The moves reduced Denver's roster to 15. Final rosters must be set by
Monday.
