Home again, home again.

Just like old times. Back onlist after months off and nothing's changed.
Everybody knows the drill. Nothing I can say is going to match the
entertainment value of the voices in Way's head telling him that Antoine got
Howard David fired, or Joe's nutritional analysis of junk food. I'm not
watching these preseason games because I can't and even if I could, I
wouldn't. They mean absolutely nothing. Eric Williams having a good 10+
mins.getting to the line means absolutely nothing because if the guy plays
10+. mins/night over 82 games this team is screwed. I'm sorry, we've seen the
act before and he's a scrub who, once again, wouldn't see the floor on a good
team. And this Kenny Anderson as the starting point guard "controversy." There
is no controversy because, yes, he should be the starting point guard, and he
should play the most mins. at that position, and isn't that too bad. The team
plays better with Kenny at the point? Of course it does. He's still not good
enough to be the starting point guard on a good team. VP, Battie, Blount....to
make a long story short this team desperately needs someone to score besides
Antoine and Pierce and unless one of the rookies comes through every team is
going to take the night off at the defensive end and beat the crap out of the
Celtics another 40+ times this year. You can be the most creative coach in the
NBA but as long as you're depending on Eric Williams, Battie, VP etc. to help
AW and PP put up points every night, you're screwed. This team has to have one
of the rookies score in double figures every night or it's going to be a long
year. This team doesn't have the players up front to play tough physical
defense and rebound well enough to be as bad as they are offensively and win.
I know, I know, so what else is new. It's early and I'm just warming up. But
Antoine and PP can say anything they want about playing tough defense and
rebounding but two guys, especially those two guys, aren't going to be able to
do it alone every night while you hope to God that the inconsistent scrubs
show up to help them. This team is still grasping at straws unless one of the
rookies comes through and can actually force the other team to, maybe, pay
attention on defense.
