Pondering The Improbables 2

- A few negatives circulating about the Rookie With
The Most Impact: Joe Johnson. There have been
knocks already about his defense, which Johnson
acknowledged over the summer as being in need
of improvement. But now, there has been a questioning
of Johnson's aggresiveness by teammate Paul Pierce.
Doubts are starting to linger around the player, Celtics
management called one of the top three players in the draft.
Will Johnson's contributions this season even match those of the
departed Bryant Stith. Well, will they?

- The False Hopes of the Summer Leagues, basically
a glorified scrimmage, Double A compared to the Major League
NBA. The only two players that really impressed during the
Summer Leagues were Zach Randolph and Kwame Brown,
and neither of them may have that much of an impact this
season. Brown has to undergo a transition to the NBA level,
and Randolph is buried behind 3 present or past All Stars.
Liberating the Zackster from his predicament should be one
of the goals of West Virginia Chris or one of his clones.
