Re: No Subject

Isn't the winning percentage relative to what teams they have played to
date? Is there a team they've beat that they shouldn't have? Have they
played a team yet that you sit back and say "Geez, they just don't have the
talent to compete with those guys."? Have they even won every game against
teams they should beat?

After embarrassing themselves against the Hawks didn't you expect some fire
on the court tonight?

I expect them to try and win games at home. The crowd gave a more
consistent effort tonight. If the team isn't going to give the effort, at
home, against division rivals, then when are they going to give the effort?
If OB can't get the team to play hard and smart, either get a new coach or a
new team.

Statistics alone don't show how embarrassing this loss was. They didn't run
all the time, they didn't play defense often. Most of the night they played
4 on 5 because someone was dogging it up the court on either offense or
defense. They played very good individual basketball from time-to-time.
Unfortunately not often enough or at the same time as the other guys on the
team....

So I guess I expect them to compete against those teams that they can match
up to and steal a few they "shouldn't win" by giving more effort then the
other guys. When fans leaving the arena are asking why the players don't
get half pay when they play this poorly that says a lot.

There was some good ball played. Walker had some super rebounds and a
couple strong drives to the hoop along with his usual lapses, Battie shows
more effort so far then he has in the last couple years, combined. Pierce
was on and off all night, JJ was solid for a rookie considering he was
matched up with Carter, Strickland played really hard. VP had a couple open
15' that he hit. Blount was weak. Anderson out ran most everyone up the
floor much of the time. Palacio hit a big 3 from the corner.

The effort just wasn't consistent or sustained. There isn't any reason for
that at all, let alone on your home court. This is coaching, IMO. Wilkins
team gave enough effort to win, barely. OB's team didn't. If it isn't
coaching then it is the players.

You decide.

I hate to state the obvious but this is a .500 team. Why is the guy's
honeymoon over? You expect them to play over .500?
