Would-be Celtics

Just came across these notes from last night's Hawks-Clippers game. Some of
us (including me) were banging the drum for Nazr Mohammed over the summer. I
know Jacques Vaughn is high on some lists as well, and he's now 0-for-22 on
the season after an 0-for-7 last night.

What does one game by Mohammed mean? Nothing really, other than we keep
hearing how effective our three-headed monstrosity is, but none of them are
remotely capable of posting these kinds of numbers. Never. They can't even
combine for these numbers. I'm so sick of hearing how our centers stack up
well against the rest of the league. What garbage.

Anyway, here's the note on Nazr:

Only Mohammed played well, with a career-best 30 points on 14 of 21
shooting, gathering 11 rebounds. He had 26 when coach Lon Kruger pulled him
with the Hawks trailing 65-57 and four minutes left in the third quarter.
