Antoine on WEEI

Antoine was on the Big Show this afternoon with that noted "Walker
Jocker" Glen Ordway and the crew...

First asked him about playing Point Guard, if he felt he needed to put
in alot of work in that area as far as playing in the summer leagues and
getting his conditioning better. He said he did need to work on things,
and would do so. They asked him about the draft coming up, who he likes,
he loves Shane Battier, and says that's the guy he wants the most. Likes
Richardson from Michigan State as well. He's been studying the guys
coming out..watching tapes..Hopes they can get some young big guys to
help out. 

He talked about the affect the Zone defenese will have next year. Ordway
mentioned who now teams will be able to double team whenever they want,
no imaginary line they can't cross, Antoine acknowledged that and
mentioned a team could now play a box and one on Paul now if they
wanted.  So the other guys have got to step up. 

Talked about his relationship with Pitino. He's very very disappointed
and hurt that he has not talked to him since he left. During the time
Antoine's grandmother died, Pitino never called to see how he was,
nothing. He said more than once..." I thought we were better than that"
He respects Pitino as a coach and person and gives him full credit for
making him into what he is, and getting him to the NBA. Just is
disappointed in how things are right now.  

Talked about how special this team was this year. How well everyone got
along, wishes they could keep all the guys, but knows that they need to
improve the team. These guys will be friends their whole lives, he says. 

Then ended up talking about his foundation and a charity cruise he has
coming up.
