RE: Walker...



I agree with this guy completely.  We don't need a top flight point
guard.  A randy brown who can push the ball, make rudimentary
plays, and hit the open jumper would do fine, maybe supplemented
by a scoring specialist (Chris Herren?) coming off the bench.  You're
not going to get better production from the Center position than Vitaly,
Battie, and Blount, both of whom are good defenders, can score some, and
give you rebounding and shotblocking to some extent as well.  I
really feel that with the offense running through Antoine the way it does,
a super-fast PG like Tinsley would be pretty much wasted, except on the
much-needed fast breaks we are currently missing out on, those demoralizing
easy baskets that come so rarely to us these days.  Get me
a big, tough, defensive-oriented baller with some instincts and the ability
to hit an open shot, and we're set.  Two stars is enough.  Bottom line:
if we had played all season the way we have since O'Brien took over, we
would be 2nd in the conference now, or first.  Maybe that can happen next
year.
