Tomorrow represents our last best chance to change a
team that we haven't liked very much.  I should speak
for myself.  I didn't get a dish last Fall because I
didn't much care to see them play. No reason to
explain the deficiencies of each player--only Antoine
and PP emerge as elements of our destiny.  So, I have
high hopes that we will add two or three quality
players tomorrow and give me a team to enjoy again. 

Discovering a gem in Kedrick Brown only to trade him
for Bonzi Wells?  I don't think so and I hope not.  We
will get one of the following:  Gasol (30% chance) or
Diop (40% chance) or Johnson (20% chance).  I just
made up those odds.  If it's Gasol or Diop, I would be
happy taking Kedrick Brown for ourselves at #11.  Sure
he has rocketed up, but he has special skills, a good
body and toughness. Would Murphy or others bring as
much?  But, if Johnson is there, we would do well to
take him and consider our options.  Best case:  Gasol
and Johnson.  Both are likely to be special players. 
Diop is fine but a major risk.

I would have no hesitation in taking Brown earlier
than some have him projected.  So what if others
wouldn't take him at #11!  If we consider him the best
talent at that point for our team, it should be done. 
We overrate the ability of a team to select a "talent"
and then trade him for value.  It's hard to do.  So,
get who you want and keep them.  Cheers.  Gene
