Katz's Draft May Be Accurate

Ol' Fritz the Katz may have out-done himself with his latest ESPN mock
draft, as it actually makes sense.

10. They love Gasol, and if he gets by Vancouver at 6, he should drift
to Boston at 10, as the teams drafting 7 - 9 are looking for immediate
help. One caveat: Houston trading up past the Celtics to take
him. If that happens, the C's will go with their second choice:
Johnson. The interesting part is who is their third choice?
Methinks it could be Zach Randolph.

11. Kedrick Brown here is a real possibility. Why? Wallace/Papile
search for that Tracy McGrady/Shawn Marion super athlete
small forward. Two players, the two of them wanted to draft in the
past, but were prevented by Pitino (So, maybe this pick is
psychological revenge on Pitino). Papile has been very vocal about
wanting a guy who can leap into the stratosphere and Brown fulfills that
need. How good is he? He must have better longe range
potential, in their opinions, than Richard Jefferson, seemingly
a similar but more advanced player.

21. Katz has the C's taking Tinsley here. Possibly, but more
likely he'll alreasdy be drafted or they will take Tony Parker,
who Katz mentions as a possibility to be selected by the Celtics
ahead of Tinsley.

In the Celtics Draft Wish List, they want to take Gasol at 10,
Johnson at 11, and Parker at 21. We'll see how many of those
players they end up with. But a very intriguing draft by Mr. Katz.
