Coleman the Cancer in SI
Did any of you contemplating the Kenny for Coleman trade read the Sports
Illustrated (May 21) cover story "A Week in the Life of an NBA Playoff
Team" a couple of weeks ago? It was an all-access story following the
Hornets the week they played the Bucks. The writer did not disguise his
observations about the negative effect the mere presence of Coleman and his
attitude had on the Hornets. DC was the only Hornet who refused to wear the
unity-symbol headbands. After the Hornets win in Game 3 the writer writes:
"As the room bubbles with bravado, no one much cares that after the game,
Coleman makes a beeline from the bench to the parking lot." There are lots
of other examples of the cancerous Coleman.
It seems that toward the end of the season the Celtics were able to
overcome any negative aspects of the illness that is Kenny Anderson, so
lets not rock the boat too much and have to find a new vaccine for a new
disease.
Stay away from Coleman.
