Bskball: "Kedrick is going to be a great weak side shot blocker."



07/18-OBSERVATIONS FROM SHAW- The Shaw Summer Pro League began play on Monday, the 1st round of games were televised yesterday, and unlike the Summer pro Leagues that took place in LA, the Shaw League is an NBA organized game, and is more of place to gauge ability, if you can count the competition there as real comp.... 

So far... Khalid El Amin, looked great against the Wizards, he was quicker than anyone on the floor at the guard spot, he made a number of intelligent plays both at the basket and from deep. He showed to be a pesky defender, and was an effective playmaker. Khalid likely landed himself an invite, if not a contract offer...

Kwame Brown looked very raw. If Wizards fans think they have an impact player they are wrong. MJ didn't look like a genius yesterday. Kwame has some nice range to his jumper, but his ability to drive with the ball against bigger players, was seriously lacking. Kwame looked overwhelmed and under prepared....

Kedrick Brown is a fabulous player. I like his athletic ability, and he has a nice shot. In one trip down the floor on a break Kedrick out paced the other defenders to sky in for a block and hit his head on the Jerry West logo on the side of the backboard. He easily could have gone 4 or 5 inches higher. This kid is going to be a great weak side shot blocker at the guard spot....
