I can't find the origonal article, but Orlando was also ready to jetison Bo Outlaw. It definately stated that by renouncing the pick, they are not tied to his cap space. As I understand it , they must renounce by July 17th. Since the trading deadline is after that date, perhaps it's a pre -emptive move.
Remember when the Bulls renounced Travis Knight?
