RE: Need a 3rd scorer (Many random thoughts)

I agree, a third scorer is needed. How about Ron Mercer? Today's Chicago
Tribune states that the Bulls are looking to trade for veteran experience (
http://chicagosports.com/bulls/content/story/0,1984,130971,00.html ), so I
checked a Mercer for Stith trade at Real GM.com and the trade works
straight-up (

Ok, it's clear, we need a 3rd scorer BAD. None of the
other guys can do it consistently. Kenny should be
back tonight. I suggest keep running the offense
through Antoine, as they've been doing while Kenny's
been out, and let Kenny be a scorer. He's the only one
besides Pierce and Walker capable of putting up 15 a
night. Let him shoot, let him drive. Sort of what
Brown did with Iverson. Take the point duties from him
and let him score, let someone else worry about
setting up the offense. (And don't worry, I didn't
just compare Kenny Anderson to Allen Iverson...just
the concept) I worry as many others do about Kenny and
his effect on the team on the court. He's one of the
slickest dribblers in the league, (I love watching
Kenny handle the rock) but he's not the right fit for
running this team. If you change his role, perhaps he
can contribute more as a scorer. Kenny's been out
since before Pitino left...right? Be interesting to
see how he plays under Obie. Randy Brown has shown
when he's healthy, he can be a factor both in the
running game and on "D". Miracle Milt has impressed me
too. I don't know if I want to dump him when Herren
comes back.

I wish Chris Carr could play more. He must be
horrible in practice, or the coaches don't like his
defense, because he can score. He's almost automatic
coming off a pick and hitting the J.... I wonder what
happened to Eric Williams Offense. His first two years
in the league he looked like a scorer. Averaged 15 a
game his second year. Always getting to line, always
sticking the short J. Now he's more of defensive
specialist. That knee injury of his must have totally
changed his game and mentallity. Even if he's
physically healed from it, it must have changed his
formerly fearless approach.

Wow...Did I actually make a post that contained
something other then just defending Walker...
