It was learned last night the C's did look into sending Walter McCarty to
Chicago for a draft pick. According to a Bulls source, the club was willing
and able to take him on, but it had issues with the $3.125 million he gets
for next season. If McCarty had been willing to alter his pact for the Bulls,
something might have happened, but such was evidently not the case.

McCarty has played sparingly of late, with three DNPs and 11 minutes played
total in seven games including last night's 98-91 loss to the Mavericks. With
three first round draft picks coming this June, the Celts were looking to
create some salary cap room.
