Ugh. I'll be so disappointed if that's the best the Celtics can do. I'm just
not sold on Tinsley, although admittedly I haven't seen that much of him. I
have my reservations about Battier as well, although my biggest problem with
the pick is that he plays one position-small forward, and that means Toine
would be stuck again at PF. No, no, no. This is the kind of thinking that is
going to keep the Celtics mired in mediocrity. The one caveat: If they trade
Toine for that big man, while keeping Battier at small forward, then I can
live with that.

I'm praying one of the big men slides-maybe Zach Randolph of Dasagna Diop.
We desperately need Ming and Williams to declare to make that happen. If
Battier and Tinsley are the best the Celts can do at 10 and 11, I say trade
the picks for Bibby or another veteran who can help. What does everyone
think of Haywood, Bradley and Murphy, three big men who may be available?
I'd be happy with Haywood at 10 or 11, but I'm skeptical of Bradley and
Murphy. Someone on the list made the point that the new rules may help guys
like that on the defensive end... does that make them more attractive? I
haven't seen much of either guy.
