Thoughts....

It's been great seeing so much support for Kenny
lately. I guess it took a long absence from Kenny to
show his importance to the team. I've thought from
the start that Kenny is probably the most talented one
on the team (not defensively of course) being that
he's got a decent shooting touch, a great handle, and
some good NYC street smarts on the court. He may not
have the speed and penetration that he used to but
he's still one of the most consistent veteran guards
in the league in that he can maintain his game against
the marquee teams unlike Toine who has shown the past
4 seasons that he only excels against lower level
squads. As some of you people have already stated, he
just isn't on the right team. Amen to that. If he
were on an established team with real scoring options
like the Blazers (big mistake on their part to get
Stoudamire but they were probably concerned about
Kenny's knees) or the Spurs or even the Timberwolves,
he definitely would be a top 10 guard in the league.
His assist numbers would be up because he'd have
people who can finish around the basket and make their
jumpers. The C's need a guard like Iverson or Payton
who can literally carry a team with scoring and
passing. That way Walker and Pierce will have less
defensive pressure on them because they are not on the
same level of talent that Odom and McGrady are on.
Those guys put up great numbers no matter who they are
playing. Oh yeah, check today's Boston Globe or ESPN
about Pitino resigning after the season.
