RE: Rex Chapman

I have a feeling that the next coach, should Pitino flee or fall,
will be an ex-celtic. The organization must know that it needs
some of the old time magic to get its credibility back. Cowens
and DJ are the coaches that come to mind; Larry is the pipe dream;
and I would be glad to see a young players' coach like Doc Rivers or Byron
Scott. I don't see us getting a member of the pro fraternity
like Bob Hill or Del Harris, although I like the latter. Donn Nelson would
be someone else to consider (Don's son and the architecht of Lithuania's
near upset of the US.) In retrospect, it really does seem like Larry Brown
would have been a better choice than Pitino. Still, it's impossible to say
what each would have done in opposite situations.

My vote would be for Cowens, who has proven himself at the pro level.
McHale may be looking for a job soon too.
