BOSTON, Nov. 6 - The Boston Celtics announced today that they have waived
swingman Greg Minor, placed Kenny Anderson on the injured list and signed
guard Rick Brunson. Per NBA policy, the terms of Brunson's deal were not
disclosed.

Minor, who has not played since suffering a fracture of his right hip on
April 29, 1999, averaged 6.9 points per game in 277 NBA games, all with
Boston. He signed with the Celtics as a rookie free agent on Oct. 19, 1994,
and had been on the injured list since Nov. 1, 1999.

Anderson was placed on the injured list with a facial injury and, per league
rules, must miss a minimum of five games. Last year, Anderson and Antoine
Walker were the only players to start all 82 games for the Celtics.

Brunson, a native of Salem, Mass., spent parts of the past two seasons with
the New York Knicks, playing in 54 games. Signed by the Orlando Magic in
1997 as a rookie free agent after a standout career at Temple University,
Brunson had stops with the Portland Trailblazers, as well as Quad City and
Connecticut of the CBA.

The 28-year old signed with the Miami Heat as a free agent on Sept. 29,
2000, but was waived on Oct. 22.
