Perhaps The Celtics Could Acquire Vancouver's Pick

The Grizzlies are looking for a mean power forward, concentrating
on the three top candidates: Martin, Swift, and Fizer, but also
considering trade options. Perhaps they be interested in the 11th
pick and Danny Fortson for the second choice. Fortson provides
the rebounding and toughness they're looking for, and at 11, they
can use the choice to fill in their weakness at shooting guard.

The Celtics on the other hand, get Swifty or Martin. Or they can
trade down a little bit and take Pryzbilla or Tsakalidis and pick up
a future draft choice. Any ways, the deal goes down as the 11th pick
and future considerations for the 2nd pick. With the future
considerations being Fortson to Vancouver in a sign and trade. You might
have to take
back some cap sludge from the Grizzlies to make it happen, but it can
be done.

Meantime, Versace and his scouting staff will begin working out draft
eligible players in Vancouver next week.

While he said the club is entertaining trade offers for the No. 2 pick
and will "propose some offers" to other teams, Versace likes what he
sees at the top of the draft.

"I think we're going to be looking a very good player right in the eye."

Versace, looking for "some meanness, some toughness" up front, is
expected to work out the draft's top three power forwards - Kenyon
Martin (Cincinnati), Stromile Swift (LSU) and Marcus Fizer (Iowa State).
