Re: Next year

I like Childs, he provides some veteran leadership and outside scoring
ability. Wright is an overpaid Battie. He was an underachiever at the
Clippers and pretty non-existent in Atlanta last year. We definitely do not
need his salary. I am not sure Cleeves will be effective in the NBA.

As for the keepers Cheaney really sucked last year, Griffin hit the wall mid
year big time, Fortson is a bull but is he worth what he wants as a backup
4, and can he play consistently while staying out of foul trouble ?

I think he could bring us some value for a team like the Lakers or Seattle
needing a physical 4 (unfortunately he is the only physical 4 we have, but
the odd man out unless we can move Battie or AW.

I am still for AW for Rahim if possible, he is more marketable than Van
Horn.

Rahim at the 3 and Fortson at the 4 would be a nice combo if Fortson can
stay out of foul trouble. Both better suited for the 3 & 4 than Walker.

Fortson for Rueben Patterson would provide an athletic, defensive 3.
