RE: Pitino On Walker/Mercer/Blasting the fans/Making the playoffs/Becoming a Contender

I maybe the only one who cares enough to notice or mention, and I have a crazy nickname for a lot of petty things around here, but calling our Coach and GM, however much you hate him and disrespect him, Il Duce, is below the belt and doesn't make us as a list look at all respectable.  I will take one step back now to allow those who must the chance to call me every deserved name in the book.  Good, now that we got that over with for the time being.

When I was a kid, and raised a staunch democrat, (my father headed Kennedy's campaign in this state), my brother and I often poked fun at Nixon and his problems and then the obvious less than noble things that Ford did; one day Dad who was an elected state official at the time, blew up at us "you may not like the man, but he is the President of the United States of America, and unless you plan to move out of the states any time soon, you will treat the office of President with the respect it deserves".  In that light, unless you plan to abandon the Celtics fandom completely, I request that we consider calling the Coach with a nickname that doesn't remind us of some dictator that murdered innocent children for his evil whims.  Would RP if he were coaching a team in the early 40's be on Hitler's Christmas card list like Mussolini was? Call him any childish thing that you might call me, heck we around have nicer nicknames for opposition coaches like Riles (the Greasy one) who once had something to do with the Fakers and there defeat of the Celts in the Garden in a finals series for the first time in franchise history. Using this tone on this list, only serves to give me reason to pause as to what depth you are a true Celtics fan, and when this clear and total agenda will finally come to pass.

Sorry to rant, and considering the source, I shouldn't be surprised, but we can speak with a little more intelligence around here than calling The Boston Celtics Head Coach and General Manager by a name that would be considered a major slap in the face where little Ricky grew up, though given the crease in his gibe, maybe he wouldn't mind after all.
