Yeah, not to jump the gun but the Celts should aim to complete an 8 wins in 9
games run (by taking the next four behind the play of our two red hot
players). Payback on Golden State and Dallas (who whupped us last month by a
combined 30 points) is essential. Lose those games and its nearly time for us
to focus 100% on the baseball season. The last time we saw Atlanta was in the
old parquet era (we won). Phoenix, suddenly without Goog, is still the biggest
challenge. They actually owe us payback from our last meeting, when we beat
them despite 37 points from the ageless Cliff Robinson.

If the Celts can win half of their remaining road games (that means beating
perhaps Washington, Orlando, Dallas, Cleveland, Atlanta), they may even be
able to extend the playoff race into the final games of the season. 6 of the
last 7 games are at the Fleet Center. If the Celts are say 2.5 games out at
that stage, anything could happen.

The Celts should forget about last night. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't
think Pitino's Celts have ever beaten Detroit. They are one team that just
passes too well for our rubber chicken outbreak to have a prayer.
