Made his debut in 1995-96 with KK Zagreb (Croatia) and played there till the 1998-99 season. Transferred to KK Cibona Zagreb (Croatia) in 1999-00. Selected as second round pick (#47) of the 2000 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics. Member of the Croatian National Team, has won the gold medal at the 1996 Junior European Championship, he's also was a member of the 1997 Croatian National Team at European Championship. Led the 1998-99 Croatian League in scoring with 22.8 ppg. Played the Croatian League 2000 All-Star Game. Won the 1999-00 Croatian National Championship. Interest Local, NBA, Foreign Size and Athletic Abilities He has a normal body structure, a little bit too light. Needs to increase his upper body. Possesses very quick hands and feet, a great body control and he's really fast running the floor. Offense Josip is a tremendous offensive player who can score in bunches. Creative and talented, has complete overall skills and can score driving on his defender or taking the outside shot (three-pointers included). Good ball handler, can go coast to coast after a defensive rebound. Can penetrate to the hoop and finish floating in the air taking a shot with both hands. Somewhat selfish, when he isn't "hot" he knows how to be useful to his team. Very good without the ball, he uses fakes and changes of speed to blow by his man. All the time he gets the ball he looks his opponent's feet trying to take advantage from any loss of balance. Can hit the three-pointer in transition or kick out and has a quick release. Good passer, knows how to read double-teaming. Oozes with confidence. Defense He isn't reliable in defense, especially in one on one situations but, thanks to his quick hands and long arms, can steal the ball. Notes Sesar is one of the best European prospects around. Has the talent to become a Top Level star. A scorer with questionable work ethic and injury prone, he's ready to enter the 2000 NBA draft.
