RE: How about this?

OK.

So who's gonna call Rick and tell him to do this?

Adam, if your only point of reference on Grant is the Lakers series, then
you haven't seen the real Brian Grant. Any Blazers fan will tell you that
last year, despite the presence of Wallace, Sabonis, Rider, Stoudamire and
the rest of that all-star team, Grant was their MVP. He battled some
injuries this year and lost his spot in the Blazers' rotation, but never
made any waves over it. And even giving up four inches and 70 pounds to
Shaq, he did a decent job. The Celts reportedly were very close to trading
Antoine for Grant straight-up a couple of years ago.

Grant is a great low post defender and rebounder. He can score12-15 ppg. And
he's the kind of veteran leader the Celtics are desperate for-and still in
his prime. And Wells replaces some of the offense and youth we would lose in
dealing Pierce.

I think this is exactly the kind of trade that could make a huge difference
in the Celtics. Then use the draft pick to take the best player available,
and things are looking up.

Just my thoughts.
