C's look to fill tall order

The Celtics are looking both high and low - mostly high - for the 11th
pick in the June 28 draft. While there is still a chance the club could
deal the pick, the present sentiment seems to be to stay at 11 and take
a big man who could be developed into a starter.

The Celts have decided this year not to release the names of the
potential draftees they are working out, but in that the NBA community
is the world's smallest principality, it was fairly easy to learn many
of those who will have auditioned by draft night.

The Boston group is heavy on height, though a good spectrum is
represented in what is known at this point. There is some raw pivot
potential in UCLA's Jerome Moiso and Indian Hills (Iowa) Community
College 7-footer Ernest Brown. Others who are on the Celtic docket (many
have already been in) are JaRon Rush (UCLA), Mo Peterson (Michigan
State), Mike Smith (Louisiana-Monroe), Corey Alexander (Fresno State),
Quentin Richardson (DePaul), Kevin Freeman (UConn) and Chris Carrawell
(Duke).
