The Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State, Orlando and Atlanta are looking into
sign-and-trade deals with Boston, which is believed to have offered Fortson
a seven-year deal worth closeto $42 million. Fortson is expected to visit
Golden State soon. (Today) 

Why would the Warriors bring in a guy they know they can't sign ? You have
to think that an offer or a deal could be on the table. We all know that
thier is a log jam at the PG spot and SF spots. The thing is if the Celtics
are offering 6 a year that means the Warriors will have to make a pitch
offering 6 million back in players. So if Mookie (4.5) goes I would think
someone else has to go with a salary in the 2 million dollar range. If TC is
retireing you could ship him out to another team and they would love to take
on his salary then be able to use it after he quits. 
I know St jean has been dying to get Fortson on the team. The "other" teams
interested in Fortson such as LA, New York and Atlanta have little or
nothing to offer. 
If the Warriors could move MOOKIE and DelNegro for Frotson they could use
exception on for other things. 
For some reason I have a feeling the Warriors will end up with Danny. Buit
for ^ million it is a risk.
