Trades not made

I really doubt that Pitino is so high on Austin Croshere (and draft
picks) that he'd ship out Walker. More likely Pitino is offering the
exception and a starting position - I do think that he'd start Croshere
next to Walker.

I was thinking about all the bad trades that Pitino has made, and it
seems to me that certain trades that were rumored but didn't happen
were actually better than ones that did. Wasn't there some rumor where
we got Dale Davis and Jalen Rose in return for Walker? It sounded
awful and stats were cited about what losers these two guys were but
a year later, one's an All-Star, another is a coveted free agent, and
they helped their team to the finals. Or Battie for Rodney Rogers?
In hindsight that would have been a nice pickup. As crazy as it sounds
right now, I wonder if Jermaine O'Neal will end up being worth three
draft picks (although I'm sure there was more to that deal).
